I love my Crazy Son!

Payton and I got to hang out with my mother the other day.  Of course, I know that I got my craziness from my mother, and Payton probably got it from me but this tops it all!  My mom was joking about dancing around in front of a mirror and singing "Im fat, im fat, im fat, look at me im fat." Which by the way my mother is not fat, she is absolutely beautiful and perfect!  So yesterday and today when I have gone to get Payton dressed, he will stand up and run around dancing and saying as loud as you ca, "im fat, im fat, im fat, im fat".

Oh the days to come only hold more and more crazy things out of the mouth my of babe!

Go Cardinals!

I love going to the ball park with my husband! We always have a really good time and its a nice couple hours just the two of us!  This picture was a picture taken in May, the first game we went to this season.  Today we are heading downtown for the afternoon game with my brother and his girlfriend.  My brother got tickets from his work for really cheap and asked us to go with.  Of course we said yes being that my husband is a huge fan!   I am really excited!

On another note, I am in for a long 12 years of schooling with Payton.   Hes only two and is already pulling the "I dont feel good".  Its actually quite funny!  He will climb in my lab and say momma i dont feel good, i need doctor! haha.   I can see it now telling me in the morning of school i dont feel good i cant go! haha. although its really cute now, i will be stressed trying to get him to go to school in a couple years!   Has anyone else had to deal with school age kids trying to get out of school by saying they dont feel good, and how did you deal with it?

Wednesday madness!

In an attempt to clean out  my house, we have decided to start piling up stuff to have a garage sale.  Unforunatley we have way to much stuff, especially baby stuff, and our pile is now half of our room in the basement!  I cant wait to have it all said and done and have that little bit of extra cash and extra room in my sight!  I plan on trying to have a garage sale the end of the month because I have a baby sale that I am going to buy a spot in to take some of the leftovers to and try to sell there.  Hopefully between the two I can get rid of alot of the baby stuff we do not want to keep for baby number two.  The only thing that I really dont like about garage sales, is the pricing.  I never know what to price stuff at, my theory is if they dont like the price they can ask me down and nine times out of ten, I will take it.  If I dont take the price they asked for I probably will not sell it. Ha, kind of a sillt theory but it worked well in our last garage sale two years ago.
Good news is though that my husbands cousin is expecting and I am sure that my mother-in-law will come and buy alot of it for them.  Baby items always seem to sell good too, especailly considering alot of Paytons old clothes have only been woren once or twice. He has so much clothes it is crazy, but we do alot of clearance shopping and cant pass up the price half the time.

July 10th 2010 At ROC ministries is where the big baby sale will be at.  It is off of I-55 and meremac bottom road.  The Church is right off of Kerth, you can see if from the highway.  I am horrible at directions but if you need the address or better directions let me know!

Happy Monday...I mean Tuesday!!

Hey everyone!

I am so thrown off because of the holiday yesterday. To me it feels like a monday instead of a tuesday! I hope you all had a good and safe holiday weekend.  We left saturday to go to the lake, it was the first time that my son, Payton, had been on a boat or in the middle of a lake to swim.  My In-laws live on a lake but hes never been on their lake, just played on the beach area.  To our surprise, Payton did very well.  He loved the boat and love swimming and jumping off the boat.  But after two full days of being on the lake, with no naps he was ready to come home.  Being that he slept in this morning (something that never happens) I can say we really wore him out this weekend.  The picture above is a picture of payton after a boat ride. I just love his hair, I really need to get it cut because he was so hot this weekend in the sun, but it sure blew in the wind! :-)

I am going to try and spiffy up my blog a little bit this week and learn how to do alot of stuff on here so I can get this blog up and running but for now I guess I will just update it with little bits here and there.

Today I really need to clean up and unpack from the weekend but how can you do that when your son is asking you to watch movies and play with him.  I guess all that can wait another day, I mean come on I need to listen to my son and he keeps asking me to play cars.  I guess the game plan for the rest of the day is to play cars! My husband will understand right?!

Five Question Friday!

Check out My Little Life to play along in "Five Question Fridays"

1. Is there something you have always wanted to try but just cant muster up the courage to actually do yet?

I am very afraid of heights. Although I have always mustered up the courage to go on roller coasters, air planes, even vist Chicago's Willis Tower (was the Sears Tower), St. Louis's Arch, and Branson Missouri's Inspiration Tower.  Jumping out of a plane....I dont think so, I dont even want to think about jumping out of a plane.  That is just not for me!

2. if you had $100 handed to you in cash without your signigicant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on?

I couldnt just go buy something for me, so I would have to say I would probably either split it between the three of us or I would take my husband out for a really good dinner.  Like the Melting Pot! I love that place, although we wouldnt be able to get a full meal from there for $100.

3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child?

I would have to say the swings.  Me and my friends though would normaly just play in the woods by the play ground. I was a little girl that loved to play house and stuff so we were always out in the field playing.

4.  Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast?

Neither, haha I am not really a breakfast person.  I tend to only eat breakfast on the weekends and it has to be about 2-3 hours after I get up.  But when I do eat breakfast I guess I would have to say hearty...normally pancakes, hashbrowns and eggs.

5. Are you a neat freak or a messy bessy?

I think I am in the middle, some days I  am a neat freak but most I am a messy bessy.  I try to be a neat freak all the time but it just doesnt happen with my son.  I clean up one room and the other room is trashed, i move to that room and the room I just cleaned is trashed! But I love him! :-)

First Time bloger!

Hey Everyone,

I am extremely new to this whole blogging experience.  My good friend, Melissa (Sippy Cup Mom), talked me into creating a blog to try it out.  I love sharing my stories about my family, experiences about my life, and the deals that I sometimes score at store.  Starting a blog is a great way to share all of that right?  Now I must warn you, I am not an amazing author, and I never really did well in English classes, so this might not be the best sounding blog you have read.  But that does not matter, I am just here to share my thoughts and hopefully some of you can relate to my crazy life as a mother.  A little bit about me before we get down to the first post....

My name is Jackie, I am 23 years old.  I have a two year old son whom I absolutely adore.  My life wouldnt be the same if it wasnt for him.  I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost three years (three years in October).  I have an amazing family, inculding my siblings, parents and inlaws.  I am currently a full time student, going for a nursing degree.  Life is crazy trying to go to school and raise a two year old but we have an amazing support system (parents, and inlaws) helping us along the way.  We are your average family, we spend most of our time outside at the park or in the backyard on nice days.  We love to BBQ, cook and bake together.  I love to try and score awesome deals when out shopping (which my husband loves when I can save him some money haha).

I hope you enjoy and continue to follow my blog.  I promise to share any amazing deals I find, and keep this blog updated and maybe even somewhere down the road do some awesome giveaways.  I hope you can relate to my life as a mother and have some laughs with me about some of the crazy things my son does on a daily basis.
